Considered the home of National Hunt racing, the racecourse enjoys a scenic location in a natural amphitheatre in the Cotswolds, and the quality of the racing matches that setting. No other race meeting in the world gets the build-up the Cheltenham Festival has, as it is the culmination of every horseman’s dream to have a winner there come March; from the opening races of the season, it is said ‘all roads lead to Cheltenham’. The buzz at Cheltenham is unrivalled, and while for its other meetings it may not be quite at festival fever pitch, those in October, November, December and January all have a unique feel, and are very popular with the die-hard jump racing community.
